extension of previous water project in Laroi

A few years ago we built a water tank to bring water nearer the sub-villages that had set up around Laroi.  As we required the necessary funds, we have now been able to add an additional much larger tank and to pipe the water, via gravity pull, into the sub-villages themselves to prevent women and children especially having to travel to the tank that was still a distance from the sub-villages.  This had to be engineered correctly to ensure sufficient pressure was available for the distance the water has to travel.  The communities are incredibly thankful for this work.  We have seen in previous projects how this has really helped with panic and stress particularly for the women folk at times of water shortages and also has given time back to do other things and in some cases we have seen villages having shops painted and looking more inviting as well as small businesses being set up to aid the economy of the villages.
