ELECTRICITY TO OLBAK AND LENGIJAVE PRIMARY SCHOOLS IN THE AREA AND HOMES ACROSS THE GORGE
As the electricity line has been installed now we need to extend the provision in the village. It has already been extended to the dispensary which has allowed the district to build a laboratory next door and there are discussions to have two wards there at some point. Part of Olbak Primary School was connected when the main line was installed but still requires the rest of the school to be added and Lengijave primary school still has no electricity. Providing electricity in the schools and any second-hand laptops will offer the school a world resource. The children have one text book each, provided by the UK government. Having access to computers gives the internet as a resource for both teaching staff and children, connection with other schools in Tanzania and around the world and offers the opportunity to share best practice and lessons.
